Rezoning of Riverbend Event Center sought

Riverbend Event Center owner Mike Toole appeared before the Fayetteville Planning Commission Tuesday, requesting that the center be rezoned from C-2, a commercial status, to A-1, agricultural use.

"The farm was originally [zoned] A-1 but then made C-2, and some of the plans the developers envisioned didn’t materialize," said Toole. "I would like to revert it back to when it was used as a residence on the farm."

At one time, the second level of the barn, now Riverbend Event Center, was used as a residence, he explained, referring to the portion of the facility...
